I go through phases with poses and my yoga practice, and certain poses move in and out of favour for me. These last couple of weeks, I've been LOVING "Constructive Rest Pose" and truly in awe of how this simple shape can deliver amazing benefits, such as:
Ready to try 'Constructive Rest Pose'?
:: Lie down on your mat, fold up the legs, so your feet are about hip-width apart and flat on the floor.
:: Have the arms a little away from the body, palms facing up.
:: Tuck the chin in a little to the chest, so the back of the neck is long. Use a low cushion under the head.
:: Take a few wriggles and check that you are comfortable and..... that's it!
:: Set your timer and chill out here for 20 minutes. Aahhh...
:: When you're ready to rejoin the world, draw knees to chest, roll to the side, gently press yourself up.
