Top Tips for better sleep
I've been sifting through loads of info about sleep, sweet sleep these last few days as I prepare for our 'Sweet Dreams Yoga 'course, next week. Super hard to edit down to just a few top tips to sleep better, but here goes:
Create an evening 'unwind' routine:
Try this warming beverage as part of your 'unwind routine'. Play with the combo of spices to customise your blend:
Pour 1 cup of milk* into a saucepan with 1/2 tsp of some or all of the following and heat gently til warm:
Raw sugar or honey, turmeric, ginger, nutmeg, cardamon, cinnamon.
Pour into your favourite mug and enjoy!
* Cows milk contains particular proteins thought to promote sleep-inducing brain signals, but your preferred milk alternative will work for this recipe too.
